The “2010 Research on Chinese Employees’ Physical and Psychological Health Risk”, jointly launched by China’s leading health risk management institution VHS Group and IDMA and strategically supported by a global top management magazine - Harvard Business Review, ended.
Main findings of the research:
- High frequency of unhealthy living habits of working people, ubiquity of health risks;
- Nearly half of the key employees suffer from early onset and high incidence of chronic diseases;
- Fierce social competition during the transformation period, and surging pressure faced by employees in the job market;
- Generally narrow understanding of health risk management;
- The employees pay high attention to their physical condition , but feel at sea understanding how to manage health risks;
- HR generally recognizes that health risk management will greatly improve the health of the employees;
- Enterprises should define health as its “asset” rather than “cost”.
